In the process of this artwork, Jad references two paintings, "Where The Sea Was" and "The Last Memory". Using the artworks as principles to depict the subconscious, Jad looks at the state of seeking comfort and safety.
In the spectrum between consciousness and sub-consciousness, the painting reflects the total state of observation of the inner world. Jad found himself disconnected and yet connected again, in this state of meditation while creating the artwork.
Painted during winter 2023, it was a brutal process that transcended ones own mind and environment, battling between the ego and the present, only to conclude that we are all one in this universe.
